Urbania Philosophy

Urbania Philosophy

After completing 1 year in the market, Urbania consolidates with the showrooms as a product and takes its place on the map.

Delivered works of any type, to clients from different countries around the world, and with direct relationships with figures like Lucas Salim, Beltrán Briones, or Rodrigo Fernández Prieto.

In 1 year. Without contacts, without budget, without anything.

But the reality is that results are a consequence. What truly matters is understanding what made them possible.

Every company makes decisions. And behind every decision, there is a way of interpreting reality. A series of principles that guide us when doubts, challenges, or opportunities arise.

That is what we understand as the philosophy of Urbania.

It is not a formal document or a list of rules. It is a collective personality that has been built with the contributions of each team member. A shared way of working, thinking, and relating to our clients.

1. Proactivity

We do not believe in waiting for opportunities.

We believe in going out to seek them, generate them, and build them.

Urbania was born without great resources, without a consolidated structure, and without a prior network of contacts. That’s why we learned from day one that growth depends on the ability to act rather than on ideal conditions.

Initiative, energy, and the willingness to take responsibility for results are part of our identity.

Any entrepreneur in the market carries their young entrepreneur within, and sees themselves reflected in this Urbania personality.

2. Team

Technical quality is important. Human quality is indispensable.

We understand that human quality is hard to find in the labor market. For a group of 5 people to commit to doing the impossible for the company to function, without expecting anything in return, without comparing or complaining, is the greatest asset of the company.

This team is nourished by uncomfortable conversations, discussions of opposing ideas, and different perspectives.

It is the strongest aspect of a team.

3. Freedom

We do not believe that everyone should work in the same way.

Each member has different processes, schedules, and ways of organizing themselves. What matters is not the exact path chosen, but the ability to fulfill the commitments made.

That’s why we prioritize autonomy and trust.

Ego takes a backseat, and what matters are the results.

As long as the conditions and deadlines are respected, everyone has 100% freedom of action.

4. Constant training

Everyone wants to be the best in their area and understands that they are not.

The team recognizes the flaws of each part and, instead of denying them, accepts and addresses them with new theory and training.

Talks, books, podcasts, project analysis, and ongoing feedback are part of our routine. Not because there is an obligation to do so, but because we understand that continuous improvement is a competitive advantage.

With these 4 points, I understand that Urbania does not sell showrooms. It sells a way of seeing reality. With values and foundations that are contagious, and the client consciously or unconsciously chooses to pay to have them in their company.

Clients hire a technological solution, but they also come into contact with a culture based on initiative, trust, freedom, and constant learning.

This publication has a simple goal: to put in writing the principles that have brought us here. So we can return to them every time the company grows, changes, or faces new challenges. Because results evolve. Products change. But the foundations should remain.

This post is not written to celebrate our first year. It is written to remind us who we want to be over the next ten.
